Lovely beach enjoyed by many. Additionally considerate is that respectful dog owners can also enjoy the beach with their dog.

A beautiful long, clean beach. It was lovely to see it so well used.

Absolutely beautiful! Even in the rain!! Visited late afternoon in August and it was completely deserted. Wonderful views of the town across the bay, clean and quiet. Lots of jellyfish along shoreline which intrigued my daughter. Stunning.

Straight outside Grannie's Heilan' Hame is Embo Beach. It has been awarded a Blue Flag for the second year running because of its lovely clean water. The Continuous golden sands go from Embo round to Dornoch point. There is a children’s play park adjacent to the beach and ample car parking.

Fantastic for walking, seeing Dolphins and walking to Donrnoch. Truly beautiful part of Scotland and is also child friendly and perfect for the kids to play in the sand and the sea.

The beach was lovely. Kids really enjoyed themselves.

Beautiful sandy beach which goes on and on with some great pools for paddling in or for the kids to take their nets and go exploring for crabs and other little sea creatures....The sea looks breath-taking when the waves are up and breaking you could forget your in SCOTLAND...... and at night it is peaceful tranquil and awesome.

Added by Daisyblu on 04/05/2012 17:03:16

A quite beautiful beach. It was breath-taking. Our caravan had an incredible view and on the last day 4 dolphins appeared (1 just a few yards from the shore). It was perfect.

You will have to travel far to find another beach as wonderful as this. You can walk for miles in either direction along this gorgeous sandy beach with stunning skies over the Dornoch Firth. It is the main reason we return to Grannies Heilan Hame every year. Bliss!!

Embo Beach is Stunning, walk for miles on golden sand, with the grass dunes at one side and the sea at the other. Walk to the other side of the beach and you have Embo pier. If your lucky you might see seals and dolphins! Pet friendly also.

Absolutely brilliant.

Was very happy with the beach and how clean it was. I found it to be family, pet and child friendly. Can't wait till next years holiday there. I have recommended it to all my friends.

Beautiful clean beach and water. The many rock pools will keep children & adults amused for hours with their many species of sea creatures. Beautiful sand dunes, stretches of golden sand and Loch Fleet wildlife reserve means there's an abundance of wildlife. Great for walks, swimming, snorkeling, making sand castles or just relaxing!

A beautiful sandy beach which stretches for miles and is extremely clean, perfect for a family holiday.

Best thing I’d seen in SCOTLAND for a time.

Added by Michelle on 18/09/2011 10:06:18

Beautiful views across the Firth. Very sandy, not at all what I was expecting it was lovely. Didn’t get to see any dolphins but there's plenty of places to try and spot them.

Added by Sam Priest on 14/09/2011 08:57:57

One of the most beautiful beaches I have had the pleasure to walk along in this country. White sands, blue seas, simply gorgeous. Extremely clean as well!

Added by Neil Munro on 03/09/2011 10:17:21

We found Nairn's 2 beaches excellent. The East beach is perfect for relaxing on and building sand castles with the golden sand, and paddling in the sea. The West beach is ideal for walks and adventure, exploring the rock pools or walking along the miles of sea front pavements. Both beaches have breathtaking views, and stretch for miles in both directions, and they are both in the town, BRILLIANT.

So great we had to return - and lived up to expectations. And seeing Osprey fishing in the Moray Firth was fantastic. The beach goes on for miles, and on a sunny evening it can't be beaten.

Added by Caroline McCarron on 31/07/2010 13:38:03

We had 5 days here the beach and walks made this holiday for us, sandy beaches for miles - really nice.

Added by Avril Britten on 17/09/2011 16:10:55

Very clean and long beach. Light sandy colour with good views over the water. The only thing lacking is a shortage of dog fouling bins.

Added by Andrew K on 04/08/2011 07:46:29

Great beach, the kids loved it. Sandy beach & gentle slope in to the sea. Numerous jelly fish around though!

Added by Andrew Williams on 03/09/2011 18:44:13

Lovely beaches, but ruined by high numbers of dog walkers many of whom allow there pets to run riot through the numerous seabird colonies and also foul the sand - not good for playing children....all it needs is a couple of kilometers of 'dog free' zones to take this rating to 5 stars.

Gorgeous beach, we had the pleasure of the view of it from our caravan, and had several walks along it, so clean and lovely!

Added by Amy Hallam on 03/09/2012 15:39:03

Very pretty but the sea is very dangerous here and it is not a child friendly beach. Walking is lovely here but it can be very windy and you could not really spend the day on the beach. Sandyhills about a 5 minute drive is however perfect for children.
