So bring along your four legged friend and take a walk along the Cornish beaches, through the Welsh countryside or in the Scottish forests.
All of our parks are in stunning coastal, countryside or woodland locations making them ideal for dog walking. Many have nature trails around the park and some even have areas set aside for your four legged friend to stretch their paws.
Besides the great walks in the countryside and along the open beaches, there are more and more pubs and cafés that now welcome dogs too so you can stop off during your walks for refreshments for you and your dog. There are so many great pet friendly attractions throughout the UK, including plenty within easy reach of our holiday parks, so you don’t need to miss out. Just make sure you check in advance and be aware you may need to keep your dog on a lead.

Remember to make sure you include your pet in the booking. A supplement of £40 per pet per week or part week applies and there is a maximum of 2 dogs. It's much cheaper than leaving your dog behind, plus they get to enjoy the holiday with you!
Ruda holiday park do not have pet friendly accommodation but will still accept assistance dogs.

A few doggy-treats for the journey will help make it go quicker for them and you, and a great way to reward their good behaviour too
When you arrive at the holiday park, take some time to walk your dog around and help them to familiarise themselves with their new surroundings – it’s a great way to meet new people (and dogs too!)
Help your dog feel at ease with their new surroundings by packing their favourite toys, bed, food and treats; it’ll make for a more relaxing holiday for you and them
Provide a non-spill water bowl for the journey to keep your dog hydrated
Plan plenty of stops during your journey; it doesn’t need to be service stations either, with plenty of great locations to stop and give your pooch some fresh air and a walk
Dogs love to stretch their legs and explore open beaches and paddle in the water – just check the beaches that accept dogs during your visit before you arrive, and if in doubt check with reception at the holiday park
You will need to keep your dog on a lead at times during your stay, and also make sure they have a tag with mobile contact numbers on – bring spares too as they may come off whilst out and about
