Summer Holidays Heatwave

The MET Office have released a heatwave warning for parts of England and Wales this week with highs of up to 32C (90F) predicted in some areas.

The heatwave warning has been issued for Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and other areas of Southwest England, the Midlands, East of England, Southeast England, London and Southwest England

Other areas which are outside of these regions are also expected to enjoy particularly hot weather this week – with South Scotland predicted highs of around 25C this week.

Earlier this year, the MET Office predicted that we were in for a hot summer with temperatures higher than average and less rain than average predicted. These recent forecasts look like the MET were right and our hot summer is on its’ way!

This is good news for UK holidaymakers! With the devaluing pound, increasing fuel prices and the sensitive economy this will give Brits a good reason to save their pennies and holiday in the UK this year.

With the Scotland school summer holidays already started and school holidays in the rest of the UK just around the corner this is the perfect summer to take the family on holiday in the UK.

Just remember to be careful in the sun – take plenty of sunscreen with you, keep topping it up throughout the day and drink plenty of water. It is brilliant to get outside and soak up the sunshine, but just be extra careful in these hot temperatures.
