Elusive Welsh Open 2009, Porthcawl

The Elusive Welsh Open 2009 is taking place on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th October and with only a week away the tension is building. The event takes place at Rest Bay, Porthcawl and has plenty to offer for people looking for a weekend of fun and entertainment.

The Open is an official event on the UK Pro Tour so expect big names like Alan Stokes and Reubyn Ash to be competing for important tour points as well as huge amounts of cash. It is not just the men competing this weekend with women's and junior competitions also taking place. This is the 9th time the open has come to Wales and with big swells coming in from the Atlantic it looks like it will be one of the best yet.

As well as the surfing other entertainment includes the free entry party night with local live band "Jasper" on the Saturday night and giveaways from the Red Bull Girl's who will be seen across the weekend.  So why not get down and support the surfers and add some fun to your family weekend.
