There are so many places to visit when you stay at one of our Hampshire Holiday Park we have made a list of our favourite Towns & Cities to help you choose where to go while you holiday with us in Hampshire.

Aldershot

Aldershot attracts over 60,000 visitors a year and this is mainly due to the fact that Aldershot is the home of the British Army. Aldershot host modern and historic military displays as well as exhibitions. Other attractions in Aldershot include; the West End Centre which is a thriving arts centre and the Princes Hall which is a family entertainment complex.


Alton

Alton is a quaint market town in Hampshire; his town has been popular with visitors for many years. The town has a nice mixture of old historic buildings and new modern shops. The town is very interesting and pretty and is can be viewed at its best on the guided tours.


Basingstoke

Basingstoke is an old town which has been through a modern transformation; the old streets are now lined with fresh looking café’s and bistros. There is also a large leisure complex and the popular Festival Palace shopping centre. However the town has kept some if its character in the Milestones Museum, here you can walk around the Victorian streets and visit the shops and work places of the past.


Emsworth

Emsworth is an old village on the coast of Hampshire; it is popular for its fishing tradition and narrow Georgian streets. The villages is famous for its selection of fine fish which can be found served up in local pubs and restaurants and sold by local retailers, Every year the villages host the Emsworth Food Festival which is 3 days of food lovers paradise, with many stalls and demonstrations available. The other attraction to Emsworth is its harbour and the opportunity for pleasure boating.


Hayling Island

Hayling Island is a holidaymakers dream; it has everything you would want from a traditional seaside holiday as well as fantastic modern sporting facilities. The island is surrounded by five miles of beautiful sandy beaches and is the only place in Europe to be awarded with two blue flag beaches, perfect for water sports, volleyball and bathing.


Petersfield

Petersfield is an old Norman town once famous for its thriving markets. The markets can be still found throughout the week in the stunning town centre. However the town is now a vibrant place for shopping and dining and has a real touch of class.


Portsmouth

Portsmouth is a city surrounded by the sea and due to its location it has always been linked strongly to the Royal Navy. The connection is seen throughout the city with many museums including Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and Royal Marines Museum. As well as all the history Portsmouth has many modern hotspots around the city including, Gunwharf Quays which is a premier waterfront shopping and entertainment complex and Spinnaker Tower which is 170m high and gives you some amazing views of the city and surroundings.


Winchester

Winchester is a traditional English City and nicely mixes in the modern day influences without making the city loose its traditional feel. The city is dominated by the beautiful 11th century cathedral and the Great Hall which is home to the famous Round Table. As well as the historic buildings and picturesque streets Winchester has an array of nice bars, pubs, restaurants and shops. Winchester is also placed next to the river and very close to countryside meaning there are many nice walks in the area.


Andover

Andover is a market town in Hampshire which has a picturesque high street as a traditional feeling to it. One of the main attractions in Andover is The Lights which is a modern arts and entertainment complex.


Romsey

Romsey is an upper call market town in the heart of Hampshire; the town is dominated by a Norman Abbey which hosts many events throughout the year. The town also has a fun swimming baths called The Rapids, perfect for a wet day.
