Woolacombe

Woolacombe is one of Devon's most popular resorts due to its 3 miles stretch of sandy beaches; these beaches attract plenty of families and surfers to the area. Woolacombe has a number of surf and gift shops for visitors but it mainly dependant on its beaches.


Ilfracombe

Ilfracombe is North Devon’s most popular and liveliest town, the town is set on the cost and carries the atmosphere of a traditional seaside resort. Ilfracombe is full of traditional and new shops, cafes, restaurants and has plenty for all the family to do. Ilfracombe also has a good night life with plenty of pubs and a great theatre.


Westward Ho!

Westward Ho! is a very popular family holiday resort in North Devon, the main attraction is its 2 mile sandy beach which produces holidaymakers with great bathing and some very good surfing conditions. The town has plenty of shop and amusements to keep visitors happy with some tasty ice cream parlous. Westward Ho! is also home to Burrows Country Park which is popular for its sand dunes, wildlife and golf course.


Bideford

Bideford was once one of Britain’s largest ports and a centre of British trade, nowadays it is a little market town thriving on tourism. The town has plenty to offer visitors; it has a lot of history and places of interest which mix in well with the more modern shops and bars. Bideford’s main attraction has to be the River Torridge which runs through the centre.


Clovelly

Clovelly has become a world famous fishing villages due its small size and the fact the cobbled streets and cottages are built on a steep 400ft hill. Due to the fact Clovelly is built on a cliff face it offers visitors a magical atmosphere with stunning views and traditional living. A small payment is needed to enter the village.


Croyde

Croyde is a small village which looks like it has been left in time, giving it a feeling of the 30's with its thatched roof cottages. The village however has become very popular due to its three magnificent and stunning sandy beaches. The beaches are popular because on the right day they can offer world class waves for surfing. The influx of surfers to the area however has not ruined the villages charm or tradition.


Torquay

Torquay is at the heart of The English Riviera, the town has a very cosmopolitan feeling with its lively harbour, contemporary attractions and small boutiques. The area is very picturesque and has 9 magnificent sandy beaches. The town has become very popular with families but is not a traditional British seaside resort.


Dartmouth

Dartmouth is an old historic village positioned at the mouth of the River Dart, the town use to depend on its thriving port. The village now attracts visitors due to its narrow streets and stunning historic buildings.


Paignton

Paignton is probably the most traditional British seaside town in South Devon, this is one of the reasons it is so popular with families. The town has long sandy beaches which provide families with safe bathing and swimming. The other huge attraction is the huge pier which has many attractions to keep the whole family entertained.


Brixham

Brixham is one of Britain’s largest fishing ports, with plenty of fish still being brought in to the harbour each day. These fish are often found in one of Brixham's fine restaurants which serve tasty local and continental cuisine.
