Croyde is a fantastic beach for people of all ages and interests. The surf can be amazing (lifeguards in attendance). The sand is beautiful and great for sandcastles. Our children have loved digging around the stream that runs through the beach. The apartments in Ruda are lovely, The Ruda camp/caravan site is exceptionally well run and has effective (but extremely helpful) security staff.

Great clean beach for all ages. Walking distance to all amenities, fantastic waves for body boarders and surfers, of all levels! Lifeguards on duty for both boarders and surfers. Beautiful.

I simply love Croyde. Croyde is an area that is unspoilt by development, free from rubbish and litter and has a clean and safe environment. The beach is always immaculate and well-guarded by life-guards. Croyde Bay is very close to where I stay in Ruda Park. The surfing is always very good, and, as I touched on earlier, the water is always clean and free from rubbish. I would recommend Croyde!

Very clean sandy beach ideal for families and a steady short stroll from the Ruda campsite.

Croyde Bay is absolutely beautiful, very clean, and great to walk along. There are plenty of rocks for the children to explore. Also the surf is fabulous. Well worth a visit.

We have been coming to Croyde since we were teenagers and we are now in our fifties! Our children loved it from toddlers to teenagers and now as adults with their own families. Beautiful sand and sand dunes and a lovely walk via the beach to the beautiful village. Ruda Park is great too.

This beach is excellent due to the surface of the beach and the condition of the waves. It is really suitable for surfing and pleasant for walking around.

This beach is only a stones throw from Ruda Bay Holiday Park. Brilliant for families of young children as it's clean and very safe. Surfing/body boarding is great here and the sea was full of them during our stay....no good if you just want a little swim though! Didn't bother me much as don't like swimming in the sea anyway! There is a lovely cafe selling hot/cold snacks and drinks. Great Beach!

Croyde beach remains one of the best beaches in the country - always something to do, clean, interesting especially for the kids and with the lifeguards doing a great job it will always be safe for everyone.

Been to Croyde every year for the last seven years and one of the factors is the Beach it is always clean and the sea is always within reach even at low tide which is also always clean. There are also plenty of rock pools on the right side of the beach for the children to explore at low tide which they seem to love and of course the surfing. A wonderful beach that I could not fault.

Croyde bay is a brilliant beach; we did belly boarding and played on the sand dunes. We played rounders and volley ball. The rock pools are awesome; we found loads of sea creatures.

Great beach next to campsite. Children have loads of room to play games or enjoy the sand dunes. Shop and toilets very convenient.

Croyde Beach was good as it always is. Been coming here for 20 years and it’s a favourite with all the family.

Lovely beach with great surf. Best boarding was on an incoming tide. We always felt safe there as the life guard service is excellent.

This was a really lovely beach - very clean and so close to the camp site!! The only down side was that our short stay meant that the tide was out most of the afternoon so we had a long walk to paddle with 2 young children. The rock pools provide some good activity though and both boys enjoyed searching for creatures to show their new friends. We would definitely go again.

Do love Croyde beach. It’s close to the facilities i.e. caravans camping site lodges, car park and toilets. Rock pools for children and even at low tide the sea is never far away. Might be nice to see a rustic path running 50 metres from the beach entry point down the beach to help those families with babies and push chairs. It's a bit of a struggle in the deep sand at the start of the beach.
