And if you enjoy visiting villages when you're not building sandcastles, you're a short drive from the ports of Padstow and Port Isaac.

We were very lucky to have our caravan situated not far from the Manor house and also close to the shop and the swimming pool. St Minver holiday park is set within beautiful grounds and is a lovely peaceful location. My daughters loved to see the rabbits happily hopping around on the grass daily as they played in the park. The facilities were excellent. The children loved the outdoor park and the indoor soft play. The swimming pool was great for older children but unfortunately a bit deep for my girls. There is a baby pool which they were happy to play in though.
We saw the children's entertainment in the Manor House the first night we were there and it was great. The children loved it especially the disco as my girls aged 2 and 4 love to dance.
Unfortunately for us though on the first morning of our holiday our youngest daughter came out in Chicken Pox and we were told that due to the risk of infecting other guests she was not allowed in the Manor House at all or allowed to use the swimming pool for the duration of our stay. This we found a bit of a disappointment as we had paid for the entertainment passes for all four of us (even though you dont have to pay for children under 5, we were not told that when we pre bought our passes through Parkdean website) and did not have any use out of them.
As we were not allowed to use any facilities on site we did a few trips during our stay in St Minver. We took the Ferry from Rock to Padstow which was lovely, we also went to Lappa Valley Steam Railway which was a great day out if you have young children. Would recommend both of these as days out if you stay here.
All in all a brilliant holiday and we would definitely return. Thank you St Minver shame about the chicken pox though
