Started with one visit a year now into three

By Miss T Humphries staying at Crantock Beach HOLIDAY PARK
Submitted on 21 Feb 2010

We have been to the Crantock site since 1999, starting with a one week stay in July, which increased to a two weeks stay, June and September in following years. We are now into three visits a year (April, June/July and September).

The site is spotless, staff could not be more helpful and the views "perfic". The only drawback is because it is so popular we had to decide last November what weeks to book.

We are now counting the weeks to our first 2010 visit in April. Well done Parkdean we wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

Seventh visit - back again next year!

We have just arrived back from our Crantock Beach holiday. As usual the site was lovely and clean with a few familiar faces amongst the staff, who are really friendly, and help make the holiday that bit better.

The beach is clean and dog friendly, with everything to offer for all ages. The surf was great this year, bit windy & cool at times, but got our wet suits (I even managed not to get harpooned!) The lifeguards help give you peace of mind when you are in the sea.

What more can we ask for? Long hot summer days with no rain would be good :)

Crantock Beach

We first visited Crantock some 8 years ago, whilst staying in Newquay and fell in love with the place. We have been back to stay at Crantock Beach for 3 years and love it!

It has an ideal position for the beach and sea and with small children the river at low tide is ideal for paddling and exploring rock pools. We try not to recommend too much as this is one gem we would rather keep to our selves.

Crantock holidays

We had a nice holiday at Crantock Beach once again (our 4th visit) only marred by having items taken from the caravan while we slept and the fact that on our 1st visit to the onsite bar/club, the stocks of preferred drinks for myself, wife and two children were non existent.

Staff on the park are friendly and helpful and we have no complaints about the caravan. For a bargain break it’s a great place to visit, the park is very clean and tidy; the beach is lovely and can be seen from every van we have stayed in.

The onsite shop is very well stocked and the other facilities are also more than adequate. The bar is our only real gripe for reasons already mentioned, it just seemed as though everything we asked for was not available.

Oh well, it’s a good job we went for the beach and not the beer! We can recommend this site to all.

Brilliant week, definite recommendation

I don't think I could fault this holiday, okay the weather wasn't typical mid-July sunshine with clear blue skies we were forecast to have but we did not let it stop us from having a brilliant week.

The beach is just a 5 minute walk along a coast path with sand dunes in sight from the caravan park it was a perfect location for anyone. The village of Crantock, just back from the beach was just as delightful, with a lovely tea room that we would recommend what ever time of day.

Newquay was around a 10 minute drive, with the zoo and other attractions close by. The Eden Project is also a great day out which is around 30 minute drive away. Overall, one of the best holidays I've had.
