Land's End

The Land's End Centre is a tourist complex which features the history and heritage of Cornwall and Land's End, with particular emphasis on ships and the sea, and the hazards which they have always faced. There are play areas for the children, a suspension bridge, ships and helicopters to be seen.

"Going to Lands End was always on our to-do list and I finally got the chance to do so this year. Luckily the weather was superb, we could see for miles! Next stop John O'Groats!"

"At last, we made Lands End! Have wanted to do this one since I was a nipper and it didn't disappoint. We left the Holiday Park at 10am and got there by 12 noon so not too bad. Beautiful, place and not too many tourists when we were there (a Tuesday). You can fly on a little plane over the Scilly Isles from the grass airfield here too - not brave enough for that one!"

Henry VIII's castle dominates the Carrick Roads

Pendennis Castle

Henry VIII's stunning castle dominating the Carrick Roads. Built in 1540-45 as one of a pair of artillery forts to protect this strategic area from the threat of invasion. The castle now operates a great day out for families offering something for each member of your family.

Spectacular views at King Arthur's castle

Tintagel Castle

King Arthur's legendry castle with spectacular cliff top location, connected to the mainland by a slim finger of land. Over the centuries much of the castle has fallen into the sea and very little remains today, but it is worth the steep climb up the steps
