Lyme Regis Fossil Festival, 1st-3rd May 

Enjoy walks, talks, theatre, music, comedy, exhibits and lots of hands-on science for all ages. The Fossil Fair offers fun and rare fossils, minerals and jewellery. Plus there’ll be plenty of street performers, as well as theatre, music and comedy at the Marine Theatre.

Weymouth Kite Festival, 2nd May 

Be amazed by kites of all shapes, sizes and colours whirling around the seafront, taking part in competitions and demonstrations at Weymouth’s Beach Kite Festival.  Kids can get involved with kite building workshops and join in too!

Dorset knob throwing food fayre, 3rd May 

Come along to this zany local competition to see who can throw their knob the furthest (A knob being a locally made roundish biscuit!) Besides Knob Throwing there will be additional fun knob attractions including Knob Eating, Knob Painting, a Knob & Spoon Race, Guess the weight of the Big Knob, Knob Darts and a Knob Pyramid.  A really enjoyable day out with a difference!

Rural and Seaside show, 2-4th May

Your one stop shop for seaside family fun in Hampshire this May!

Three Queens in Southampton, 3-5th May

Cunard’s 175th celebrations begin with the Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria all sailing into Southampton together, a grand sceptical for ship lovers and a great day out in Hampshire’s largest city for the whole family.
