Kids Voted and We Listened! The UK Our Way “How to” Videos

Kids voted and we listened! Our ‘UK Our Way’ 2014 travel guide features this year’s hottest list of kids’ top boredom-busting UK destinations and fun-filled attractions as voted for by kids.

Thrilled with our findings, we headed out to some of our little helpers’ favourite UK destinations to learn a thing or two about having fun in the UK, the kid’s way…

Best Place for Flying a Kite

Let’s go fly a kite! We headed to kids’ favourite place to fly a kite, the Gower Peninsula, and met up with a proper kite expert to teach us how to make our kites soar like a pro!

Top tip: The beach at Pendine Sands Holiday Park, South Wales isn’t just an amazing beach, best known for land speed world record attempts; its miles of flat sand also make it an awesome place to fly your kite!

Best place for Taking Pictures

Great photographs capture cherished holiday memories, but just how do you take great photos? Our photographer friends had one or two handy hints to share!

Top tip: The Isle of Bute was voted best for taking brilliant photos this year, enjoy the short ferry ride and get snap happy with the whole family if you’re staying with us at nearby Wemyss Bay Holiday Park.

Best spot for Building Sandcastles

We all love building sandcastles on holiday, so to help you make the best castles on the beach we enlisted the help of a trained Sand Sculptor to show us how it’s done!

Top tip: Kids voted Weymouth Beach, Dorset the best in the UK for building sandcastles; don’t forget to stop by and test your skills if you’re staying with us at Warmwell Holiday Park.

Best place to go Rock Pooling

Rock Pooling is a brilliant way to teach little ones about the amazing wildlife that exists along our coastline, plus its great fun! We headed to Looe, Cornwall and got some great tips from the National Marine Aquarium about how to enjoy discovering these crustaceous critters responsibly.

Top tip: If you’re travelling to Looe Bay Holiday Park, you’re only a short drive from the charming town of Looe, which kids voted the best place to rock pool in the UK!
