Just Steps from the Beach…

Our guests often ask which of our parks are closest to the beach, and it’s a great question. So here it is, a must have guide to some of our most beautiful beachside parks. And when we say beachside, we mean it. We’re talking a short stroll, a few steps, only a stone’s throw away!

In no particular order (because we love them all)…

Nairn Lochloy Holiday Park

Sea, sand and stunning scenery are all part of the Nairn Lochloy experience. Our park sits just behind the low dunes meaning you could walk out of your caravan barefoot, stroll across the dunes and land yourself on the soft sands. Once you’re there it’s easy to see why this beach is number 13 on the Trip Advisor Travellers’ Choice list of ‘Top 25 Beaches – United Kingdom’.

Grannie’s Heilan’ Hame Holiday Park

Grannie chose this place for a reason, and it’s because of the magnificent, sandy beach that follows the edge of this picturesque park. Steps from the park lead right onto the sand and we can’t recommend enough that you book sea view accommodation for that extra touch of luxury. The thing we love most is the chance to see the Dornoch Firth’s resident dolphins swim past!

Southerness Holiday Park

The only thing that separates Southerness Holiday Park from the beach is a thin strip of sand dune. Wander straight off the park, through the dunes and feel the sand between your toes on this great expanse of beach. We can’t get enough of the views over the Solway Firth, is that Cumbria we can see from Scotland!?

Challaborough Bay Holiday Park

Shhh we usually keep this to ourselves, but we’re going to let you in on one of our favourite coastal retreats, Challaborough Bay. This little slice of heaven is set in a quiet corner of Devon, on the edge of a sheltered beach with golden sands. You can wander peacefully from the park to the beach, and even dine al fresco overlooking the waves, we can’t get enough of the place!

Ruda Holiday Park

Croyde Bay, our favourite hot spot for surfing, swimming and sunbathing; plus it’s only moments from Ruda Holiday Park. Not only do we love flip flopping straight onto the beach, but with direct access to the South West Coastal Path, we’d highly recommend walking the rugged coastline to Baggy Point and soaking up those spectacular views.

Trecco Bay Holiday Park

Not only is our very own beach just steps away from the park, but it was also awarded Blue Flag status again in 2015! Clean waters and softs sands are within easy reach wherever you stay at our giant Welsh wonder-park. Waking up early for a sunrise is defiantly one for the bucket list.

Wild card: Holywell Bay Holiday Park

So this is a wild card as it is a short walk from the park to the beach, but this is for those who really appreciate a stunning beach… because the walk is well worth it! Take a 10 minute stroll through the dunes and discover almost a mile of golden sands, hidden coves and of course those iconic Gull Rocks. On a hot summer’s day you’d be forgiven for thinking you were abroad!
