10 Reasons Why I Love Mullion!

Ice cream spot

One of the best things about working in the Marketing Team at Parkdean is the opportunity to visit new and exciting parts of the country.

I was lucky enough to travel from Newcastle to Mullion in Cornwall and I had the best time! Here are some of the reasons I loved it so much:

1. The food (especially the ice cream!)

I was lucky enough during my stay to experience Mullion in the sunshine which made having two ice creams a day completely excusable – I’ve discovered a new found love for clotted cream flavour in particular! The food in general, from steaks to fish, is always so fresh and flavourful and I definitely find myself craving the meals I enjoyed during my visit now that I’m back.

2. The country roads with no potholes!

I’m a bit of a petrol head so the country roads were a treat for me! With no potholes in sight and stunning scenery, driving from Exeter Airport and into Mullion was utterly enjoyable.

3. The little fishing villages

The windy roads and lack of local knowledge meant I did miss a turn off on my way to one of the beaches. What was an inconvenience was totally forgiven when I entered the beautiful fishing village of Cadgwith. The fishing boats and pretty buildings made for incredible scenery, and some of the best crab sarnies around might I add!

4. Mullion Holiday Park

Obviously my favourite thing about Mullion is our gorgeous holiday park, I know I’m biased but it was my first visit and I’ve since been planning to go back with family and friends because I enjoyed my stay so much. From the fluffiest duvets provided to the fast and convenient take away service, I felt very at home very quickly.

kynance5. The stunning beaches

You can’t visit Mullion without a visit to Kynance Cove. The National Trust site is utterly stunning and the views really are breath taking, although I live in walking distance from a beach at home, Kynance Cove is something else! Go visit and you won’t be disappointed!

6. The furry friends around park

One of the great things about Mullion and holidaying with us in the UK is that you don’t need to leave your pets at home! I really enjoyed seeing families together with their dogs and all having a great time – minus the worry of leaving their best friend at home.

7. The 360 degree scenery

From the birds wizzing around in the trees to the stretches of coastline, everywhere you look is picture postcard perfect. I wish I had stayed longer for the opportunity to take it all in because I’m sure there were just as amazing spots that I’ll have missed

8. The closeness to neighbouring Sea Acres

I also visited Sea Acres briefly and was pleasantly surprised how close these two parks were. Just a 10 minute drive and I was in a whole new holiday park, quieter than Mullion but with the most spectacular views of Kennack Sands. You can also try Scuba Diving at Sea Acres. They do lessons in the pool and open water dives in the local area once you’re ready. Be sure to pop in if you’re staying at Mullion (remember to bring along your entertainment passes!).

9. Knowing the fun doesn’t stop when the sun goes down

After a long day of flights and travelling I could’ve retired for the night to my caravan, instead I sat in the Venue at Mullion Holiday Park and enjoyed the lively entertainment. The atmosphere was buzzing and it was great to see so many families, friends and couples smiling and having a fantastic holiday.

10. The friendly folk

Never have I met such welcoming and friendly people (apart from in Newcastle where our Head Office is!). I instantly felt so at ease and everyone I encountered during my visit was more than happy to help with anything I needed. What could have been a hectic couple of days was made so easy and effortless by all the staff, customers and locals at Mullion.

In all I had the most amazing time, I haven’t stopped raving about how beautiful it was – I know for certain I’ll be back very soon!
