The stunning romantic landscape of Dartmoor offers couples an abundance of romantic walking routes. With 368 square miles to explore, it won’t be difficult to find a private spot where you can simply relax and watch the world go by.

One of the nicest routes for a romantic walk is Lydford Gorge, situated in the north-western area of Dartmoor. The oak tree lined walk is the deepest in the South West, stretching over 1.5 miles.

Branscombe Beach

Couples visiting Branscombe beach can enjoy walking hand-in-hand across the golden sands. The white sand is simply stunning during the day and becomes illuminated by a warm, golden light as the sun sets into the turquoise sea at nightfall.

After watching the sun fade into the horizon, you can head up to one of the most relaxing and picturesque villages in Devon. Branscombe Village is thought to be the longest village in the country, sweeping down along a spectacular valley, past colourful cottages, restaurants and country pubs, all the way down to Branscombe Beach.
