The Monkey Sanctuary

Nestled into the side of the South Cornish coast between Looe and Seaton, The Monkey Sanctuary makes a great day out to remember.

Set up nearly five decades ago to care for ex-pet monkeys, it is now a permanent, safe home to various species which have all been rescued from conditions of abuse and neglect.

The Monkey Sanctuary is a day out for the whole family. Take a tour of the monkey enclosures to learn about these fascinating animals and stop for a bite to eat at the award winning Treetop Café.  The children will be enticed by the play area, where they can swing like monkeys or take part in themed arts and crafts in the Activity Room. There’s also the Bat Zone where visitors can learn more about the sanctuary’s resident lesser horseshoe bats!
