Stay at Trecco Bay and Visit the Big Cheese Festival

Between 26-28th July Caerphilly comes to life, as the town hosts the Big Cheese Festival.

Set beneath the imposing shadow of one of the largest castles in Europe, the Caerphilly Big Cheese Festival 2013 promises to be the biggest and best yet, with a line-up that includes street entertainers, history re-enactments, comedy acts, music and dance, a traditional funfair, market stalls and much more besides! The Big Cheese is a real family festival, and attracts visitors from around the UK.

A spectacular festival which attracted 80,000 visitors last year. With re-enactment displays, entertainment, funfair and one of the biggest festival food & drink marquees in Wales. Over 50 Welsh producers gather to sell their delicious cakes, wine, liquers, sweets, chocolate, cheese, pickles and much more.

With a grand fireworks display on Friday 26th July to open the event and the main event taking place Saturday and Sunday including the ever popular and barrels of fun Big Cheese Race.

The Big Cheese is a free event, with no admission charge.

Trecco Bay Holiday Park is located around 30 miles from Caerphilly, just a short 40 minute drive to where the festival takes place at Caerphilly Castle. This is a great free family day out for anyone already staying at Trecco Bay.
