Below is a list of frequently asked questions relating to promotional bookings.

Please note: If you are enquiring about your newspaper promotional booking please be aware we do not expect to receive the first bookings until late January.


Why can't I make my promotional booking?


You may be experiencing difficulties in reserving your newspaper promotional holiday online. The Sun holidays website is experiencing high volumes of visitors at the moment.

Unfortunately we are unable to assist you in making a reservation for the £9.50 holidays directly, therefore we ask that you continue to attempt to make your booking online, alternatively you can send the tokens to The Sun holidays with your completed form.

Why do I need entertainment passes?


Every booking will have at least four entertainment passes to start with as the promotion is based on four people sharing, however if there is less than 4 in your party you only need to pay for the amount of people travelling. Children under 2 are not charged for passes.

If you remove the passes altogether then you will NOT be able to use any facilities on park - such as the swimming pool (excludes Ruda - separate charge), kids clubs, club house, amusements, cafe, restaurant or entertainment complex. You will only be permitted to use the shop and laundrette.

Can I take my own bed linen?


If you remove the bed linen charge, we will still provide the pillows and duvets for you but you must bring your own quilt covers, bed sheets and pillow cases.

What is the service charge?


The service charge is for your gas, electric and water supply. This is a compulsory charge and it cannot be removed from your booking.

Can I bring my pet with me?


Pets are not included on the Sun Holiday Offer. However, we do have 21 holiday parks which do accept pets in selected accommodations. If you have been allocated a park which accept pets and you would like to bring your pet/s, then you must inform us. This cannot be requested on your original Sun Holiday form.

There is a standard charge of £30 per week/part week to bring you pet along and a maximum of 2 pets per accommodation are permitted.

Can I hire a cot or high chair?


You can add a cot or high chair by contacting us by email or on our booking line which is 0844 335 6753.
Please be aware that *cots will not fit into any caravan home bedroom unless it's a lodge/apartment and would have to go into the lounge area. On some occasions a single bed (in the twin room) could be moved to provide space for the cot, but we recommend you call the park directly to arrange this.

*Please note we do not supply linen for the cot.

Can I transfer my booking to another park, date or someone else?


All Promotional Holidays are both Non Refundable and Non transferable as stated in the terms and conditions of the newspaper. Term 10 does state "ABSOLUTLEY NO AMENDMENTS WHATSOEVER can be made by you after your holiday application has been received by us".

I have been allocated the wrong date/park?


If you think that the date or park you have been offered is not one of those put on your original booking form then you will have to contact the newspaper directly (see numbers above) as we cannot amend any holidays without prior consent from them.

After you have contacted the newspaper promotions team they will fax your details to us, and if there is an error then we'll correct it. However, if the newspaper promotions team does send your original booking form and it does have one of the date/park you have been allocated, then unfortunately we would not be able to change the date/park.

What accommodation will I be allocated?


All Promotional Holiday bookings are allocated on arrival, therefore unfortunately we are unable to tell you exactly what accommodation you will be placed in or where on the Park you will be allocated. This could be any standard to middle of the range accommodation.

In order to guarantee either named accommodation or select a particular location on park, we suggest upgrading your accommodation to match your exact needs.

What is the cancellation policy?


All cancellations must be in writing - either by post, fax or email. We cannot refund the money originally paid to any promotional newspaper. All holiday money paid to Parkdean Holidays is non-refundable, including money paid for extras.

Can I extend my holiday?


Once your holiday has been allocated, you maybe able to add additional nights onto your booking. However, this is subject to availability. Prices differ depending on which park you are staying at, what dates you are going and which accommodations are available at the time of enquiry. To enquire, please call 0844 335 3253.

Can I bring additional guests?


All Promotional Holidays are based on 4 people sharing. If you have less than this, then you could add additional guests onto your booking without a charge. However, if you already have 4 people on your booking and you would like to add another person/s, then there would be an extra person charge from £9.50pp - £15pp (prices vary on dates).

Can I amend some of the passenger names?


All names which have been registered on the original booking form cannot be amended. If you would like to replace one of the original names for someone else, then under the newspapers Terms & Conditions you must pay the extra person charge. (Please see above section)

When will I receive a holiday confirmation?


Closing date for applications is 17th February 2012. You will receive your holiday confirmation by 28 February 2012, or if unsuccessful, your payment will be returned by that date. If you have not heard anything by that date, please telephone the newspaper directly using one of the following numbers:

How can I make payment for my holiday?


You can pay your balance using our simple online payment system or by credit/debit card if you call our payment line which is 0844 335 3395.

You can also send a *cheque/postal order with your name, address and booking number on the back to:

When do I have to pay the outstanding balance by?


The balance due date is always 10 weeks before the holiday date. However, any bookings which are less than 10 weeks away and have an outstanding balance, we strongly advise that you clear your balance as soon as you receive your booking confirmation as we do not accept cash on park.

Are there any age restrictions?


All of our holiday parks are family orientated mainly for parents with children or for couples. Bookings will not be accepted where all the passengers in the party are under the age of 21. Single sex parties will not be accepted if all the passengers are under the age of 25.

What time is check-in?


The check-in time is at 4pm and this cannot be changed. Should you arrive early on the park, you are more than welcome to use all of the park's facilities (providing you have entertainment passes) until the accommodation is ready. The departure time is 10am.

Will I get a new confirmation after I've paid my final balance or made any amendments?


If you already have your original booking confirmation, then we do not send any other documentation out after any amendments or payments. However, if requested for then we can issue a new amended booking confirmation.
