Wild & Beautiful Beaches

Scotland’s beaches are characterised by that same, seemingly impossible, raw beauty that all of its landscapes exude. They’re often empty, sometimes wild, but always awe-inspiring.

They’re varied too, everything from lively resort beaches awash with amusements to isolated stretches of white sand. Others, particularly in the Highlands and islands, are blessed with turquoise waters that have a Caribbean feel!

Stunning views come as standard at many of the country’s beaches. Nairn Central Beach near Inverness is a particularly lovely spot with powdery sands and epic vistas over the Moray Firth – you might even spot seals and dolphins journeying by. Further north, discover award-winning Dornoch Beach, an ideal spot for families with its low dunes and shallow paddling waters.

Ayr on the west coast is one of the most popular resorts in Scotland, thanks to its golden sands and traditional amusements. Not to mention the dreamy views of the Isle of Arran – picnic perfect!
